Bin collection day in Western Australia
The Waste Authority’s WasteSorted program describes a three-bin kerbside system. Not every Western Australian council has a FOGO service. The collection calendar is still published by the local government.
Bin Stickers Australia is an independent sticker supplier. We are not a council or government waste service. Confirm collection days, missed bins and replacement bins on your council's official website.
Lid colours we can cite
- Lime green — FOGO
- Yellow — Recycling
- Red — General waste
What the official pages say
WasteSorted says the FOGO bin, with a lime-green lid, is for food scraps and garden waste, and that it is supplied with a yellow-lidded recycling bin and a smaller red-lidded general-waste bin.
On that service, FOGO is typically collected each week. Recycling and general waste are typically collected fortnightly, on alternate weeks. “Typically” is the word WasteSorted uses, because local governments can differ.
WasteSorted lists which local governments provide FOGO. If yours is not on that list, use the council waste page rather than the typical week above.

A sticker does not change the collection week. If you are labelling the bin, see where to put the sticker and how collection days work.
